What is inside the RFID Silicone Wristbands?
An RFID silicone wristband contains a rigid tag made up of an RFID chip and antenna. Normally the RFID wristbands are manufactured by a vertical injection molding machine. Silicone over-molding is a process that is used to cover, bond, or encapsulate an existing part with silicone material. The typical silicone curing temperature is from 220°F to 350°F (100° C to 160°C). Therefore, the RFID tag inside the wristband must be able to withstand the silicone curing temperature.
